Within the scope of our project "Intelligent drone mailbox" we have tested different optical sensors and evaluated them with regard to their precision for determining the position of a drone. With the help of these sensors, our "Intelligent Drone Mailbox" should later be able to "see" drones in approach, in order to enable them to land autonomously on the designated area. The results obtained during the tests are now being incorporated into the further development steps, which are already in full swing!
