Another invention from Emqopter, by Dr. Nils Gageik (General Manager tech.) for configuration of a modular multicopter, has now been disclosed.
The system, which is currently in the patent application process, describes a reconfigurable multicopter whose central unit, rotor units and extension arms were developed as plug-in modules and can be attached without additional tools. The design can thus be adapted easily, quickly and flexibly depending on the individual use case. This eliminates the need for expensive procurement and maintenance of a large number of flying units for special mission profiles.
